Character: In game Survival mode HUD

Character: Aquiring abilities

Character: Energy Stones

Character: God mode - HUD Design

Character: Menu Screen

For the menu screen I have decided that there will be options for online and solo play to appeal to a larger audience. There will be background environments scrolling across whilst the player decides what to do to show what they can achieve within the game.

Character: Name Ideas

My game is a strategy game where you have to build underwater dungeons and the idea is to get the biggest dungeon that is unbeatable from enemies. There is another part of the game where you are put into the world of your dungeon and you have to escape it like a labyrinth.

Here are some names I have come up with:

- Dangers of the Deep
- Oceanic Overlord
- Crustaceans Chambers
- Crustacius' Chamber
- Rise of the Abyss
- Abyssal Keeper

Overall I think im going to go with Crustacius' Chamber

Character: Justin's Workshops

Although I did attend all of the workshops Justin had done, I have misplaced my sketchbook with the work in so unfortunately a couple will be missing my from blog because of it.

Character: Main Hero Character

Final Concept art

First attempt
Here are my concept arts for my main character (the one you play as). I worked from my original designs but then tried to improve upon them. At first I wanted more of  a royal feel to the character with the concept art below but then I transitioned him more into the underwater god that he is by adding in marine influences.

Character: Pause Screen Font Experimentation

Character: Creature environment

Concept art

This is my environment for my creature that I have designed for my game. I decided to draw it from above to show what it would look like in the god mode version of the game when you are playing from above. To get the perspective correct I made a simple model in Maya and rendered out an occlusion image which also helped with the lighting of the scene. Overall I think it is quite successful it just needs tidying up as it works from afar but it needs refining a bit more but this gives me an overall idea on how its going to look.

Character: Creature Design

Looking at my previous creature design with the camouflage on top I decided to redesign it. I have designed these three different designs for my creature so within the game there is a bit of difference when  playing. These will all situate within the same environment which I am going to design from my concept art I have done earlier. For my project I am going to focus on this creature for an example to show of different creatures are within the game. Then once you collect the soul of the dungeon area the main character you play as evolves to do with the environment.

Character: Environments for Character

For designing the environment I got Donkey Kong. I thought of giving him a big banana hummock and barrels around him. He also wears a tie so it suggests that he is a bit civilized so I gave him a drying rack with his ties on.
